Lots of people gather for the spring festival as it involves free entertainment, food and interesting stalls. Another important annual event in this suburb is the opera on the beach and this is held as part of the Australia Day celebrations.
 
Cronulla is a place for many schools. You will find excellent schools for all levels of education from primary level to high school level. Cronulla also has many churches and just a few to name St Andrews Anglicans Church. Cronulla Sydney is known for its excellent local transportation option. There is a good railway network in this suburb and this suburb has its own railway station. Another major local transportation option is the ferry service. The major shopping zone of the suburb is on the Cronulla Street where the Cronulla Plaza is located. The shopping zone extends to Kingsway, Gerrale Street and the other surrounding area.
